ClearBlue OPK
So this is my first month ttc so I am sorry if my question seems strange..
I started tracking on fertility friend and it is telling me that I am in the window of ovulation based on my last period. But I purchased the clearblue OPK and it is coming up with a neg. I know obviously the kit it much more accurate but does this mean I prob missed the window or should i keep using the kit for the next few days to see if it changes...

I never got a smiley with the opk... Even used it twice a day (box says so in the morning but I read here and a few other sites to do afternoon.
I used the opk for one month... Never got the surge though I had my usual ovulation pain and symptoms... I'll be 30 weeks pregnant on Wednesday.

humm ok, now I'm really confused. I am just really trying to "predict" things as much as I can (i know...you can't really do that)..but with my career I only have a certain window when I could give birth otherwise it turns into my busy season and I can't really take off a ton of time. I guess I will keep testing with the opk and see what happens for this month...maybe its not worth it

I would say keep testing, it works for a lot of women. Or you could try temping as well and keeping track that way.
I always know when I ovulate because I get terrible pain every month. Maybe I just got a bad batch.
Good luck!!

Re: ClearBlue OPK
Definitely keep testing, though if you still get negatives for the rest of the month, I'd start testing earlier next month. I never used CB OPKs so I can't attest to how well they work, but people swear by them. I used wondfo OPKs and they were cheap and worked well for me. I don't think it would hurt to get them as back up. Good luck!

Re: ClearBlue OPK
Apps are just an approximation based on "typical" cycles. The OPK will give you your actual surge, based on YOUR hormones. Keep testing.

Definitely keep testing. It really helps so much when you know exactly when you're Oing. I test twice a day (once in the morning and once in the afternoon). Sometimes I get my smiley in the morning and other times I don't get it until the afternoon. I use mymonthlycycles to estimate when I should be Ovulating, but then I test from about 4 days prior to that date, just in case it happens early.
