clearblue opk false positive
this is the first time this has ever happened to me, but I actually got a false smiley on a clearblue opk!
I'm only on day 9, and I ovulate on day 14 or 15 every month. So when I got a positive on day 8 yesterday, I was shocked and knew that couldn't be correct. I ejected the stick and the entire thing was a blue blob. The dye must have run and caused the test to think it was positive. I took another one an hour or so later and it was negative.
Make sure you take a look at the lines when you eject the stick!

Taking a test an hour later is not advised. Your urine may be diluted and not pick up the surge. If you are on chlomid your cycle may be different then previous cycles. That's why it's advised to be monitored while on chlomid. REs would be taking your blood and doing sonos to confirm ovulation.

This your dr should be doing blood and sono not letting you rely on an OPK. And adding a medicine like clomid can change your cycle

i'm going in to my dr in 2 days! he will be checking on me lol dont worry. he said the opk would not have been positive though because clomid was still being taken. he said clomid causes false positives if you test too soon as well. getting follicles checked and everything in 2 days

My RE said that clomid causes fake positives, he was shocked when I went in 2 days after a sono with no folicles...to the day later a positive He did blood work to confirm and saw a folicle....so bd just in case it was not a dye run and good luck. I remember we go to the same gyno (I go to a RE now) so I know you are in good hands!
