Clomid/Timed Intercourse

I got my blood work back today, and I got the okay to start provera tonight (seems there's no improvement ). As soon as I get AF, I will call the doctor to go in for monitoring and start my clomid cycle. We are going to try naturally this time with timed intercouse.

Has anyone be successful with clomid/timed intercourse? Or know anyone who has had any luck using this method?

My friends cousin conceived both her children this way..I believe their issue was annovulation...I unfortunately had no luck with clomid/timed BD for 7 cycles and did end up conceiving with IUI...Just make sure to talk to your RE about CM- Clomid had a tendency to dry it which is one of the obstacles with Clomid from what I was told ...Good Luck !!!!!!!

When I did 2 rounds of clomid, my RE recommended IUI because Clomid tends to dry up CM. IUI also slightly improves chances of getting pg so I figured it was worth it.

Clomid does dry up your cervical mucus which in turn makes it harder for the little spermies to get where they need to go. It's totally a personal choice as to how you want to go about your treatment but I would strongly recommend the IUI. It was SO easy, in and out procedure, and like I said before.......in my mind, anything at all they even slightly increased our odds of conceiving was worth a try.

Being that your cycles of Clomid are limited and the fact that your CM will dry up a little to a lot I would strongly consider the IUI right from the start. I've seen your posts and it's clear you are frustrated and really, really want a baby so the IUI with the Clomid may help you to conceive sooner rather than later. I didn't have to take the Clomid but I chose to do an IUI to increase my odds and I'm preggers. I still BD with DH (4 times) but we did the IUI too. Who knows which of the two got me pregnant but I felt better knowing that I covered all of my bases.

You can get preseed to help with the dry CM. We did two rounds of clomid/timed intercourse. I may have had a chemical the first cycle, BFN the second cycle.

My CM never dried up -it doesn't happen to everyone. Like SweetTooth said-preseed will fix that issue
