Clothes in hospital for me
When you had visitors, did you stay in your pajamas, or did you bring sweats/yoga pants/t-shirts?
any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.

Re: Clothes in hospital for me
I was in the hospital for four days b/c of winding up with a c-section. I mostly wore pajama pants -they were the most comfortable. I saw a lot of others in the same or nightgowns or even the hospital gowns.

Re: Clothes in hospital for me
I had a section and most of the time I wore black drawstring pajama pants - they didn't really look like pajama pants though. I went with black incase any bleeding leaked. I also wore my brown terry maternity pants for visitors. My tops were just regular maternity T's.
You just want something comfy that doesn't put pressure on your abdomen incase you have a section and I would recommed dark since you will be bleeding.

Re: Clothes in hospital for me
I honestly stayed in my jammies......it was just most comfy for me! And my visitors were mainly family, so with the exception of my one sister who told me I was ".....one HOT mess!!!!"...........ask if I cared!!!!!!
And I used black capri PJ bottoms & a matching PJ top one day, the next was a nursing PJ top & black PJ bottoms.

Re: Clothes in hospital for me
I stayed in my PJ's also. I was BF'ing so I wore tank tops that I could slide off my shoulder (I hated those BF'ing tops/bras in the beg.) and PJ pants or sweats. Those light weight cotton PJ bottoms from Old Navy are great.

Re: Clothes in hospital for me
I just wore nightgowns and threw a robe on if people were visiting. After a C section it was the most comfortable for me. Especially since they were checking my incision every day. I wouldn't pack too many outfits. All you really need are two nightgowns, a robe, and then comfy clothes to go home in. Even if you don't plan on having a Csection , you may end up with one like I did so I would be prepared for that and be sure to pack more comfy nightgowns than pants.
ETA: I would pack your own maxi pads with wings...the always overnights were good for me. They stay in place nicely.

Re: Clothes in hospital for me
I wore pajamas the first day and after that I wore my sweatpants and tank tops. Make sure you pack extra clothes because you never know, you can have a c-section. My husband had to pick out clothes for me because I did not have enough.

Re: Clothes in hospital for me
I wore a robe over my gown. I actually stayed in my bed (I had a c-section and cannot take pain killers).

I agree - I brought pants but only wore gowns & a robe because of the c-section.

Re: Clothes in hospital for me
I brought sweats and robes and t-shirts and tanks but, honestly, I spent most of my time in the hospital gown with a robe and sweatpants - it was more comfortable and I didn't want to get my clothes all yucked from the hospital!

Re: Clothes in hospital for me
I wore the gown for 4 days no matter who was there - both times.
If I had had vaginal - I would think that maybe I would have changed - but the c/s makes it harder to bend and dress and undress to go to the bathroom. I also had visitors coming at all hours, so I couldn't really plan it.
