CND Shellac Manicure? Update: I got it!
Has anyone had it done recently? How did you like it?
Update: I went to Bella Vita in Seaford and got it done. So far, I love it! It looks great- just like a regular manicure- and I loved that I could just reach right into my bag and get my keys without worrying I was going to smudge!

I just got this (but it was OPI not CND) and I LOVE IT! I've had it for 2 weeks now and not a chip. The only reason I need to go and have them redone is because I'm wearing a dark color and there is grow out. I'm definitely getting this again.

I had the OPI and while I loved having it on my nails - it completely RUINED my nails. It took over 2 months for my nails to heal. Unless I was going on vacation and did not want to get my nails done, I would not do it again. While I had it on, I really loved it, but once it was off, I was very unhappy with how it left my nails.

The OPI and the shellac is 2 different things. Their is no drying time for both but the shellac you just soak off in acetone and the OPI gel you can't. I have had both done and I like the shellac better. I notice that depending on who does my nails depends on how long it lasts, but it will last about 2-3 weeks (3 weeks for a lighter color).
The OPI ruined my nails too so I won't get that done again.

I pay $30 for OPI french, although my friend just told me about a place that does it for $20 so I am going to try that place.

Ok, so after hearing about the horror of removing this stuff I decided to take it off last night and it wasn't bad. I just peeled off the polish and didn't go through soaking or filing like I saw online. My nails aren't damaged, phew! Just for precautions I probably won't get this again because of everyone else's experiences. I did love it though! My nails grew so nice in 2 wks

I got it done this weekend too !!! And I LOVE it!!! After having Arcrylic for ummmmm over 10 years I decided to soak them off and get this ... It was the best thing I ever did!!! I'm hoping it will last atleast 2 weeks or more!!!! That way I can justify (to myself) the $25 it cost to do it !!!

It will definitely last you 2 weeks and you may be able to squeeze a few more days out of it...I have had it and it looks great after 2 weeks.

Me too. I did it for over 2 months and didn't listen to everyone who said it would ruin my nails. They were so bad after 2 months that my nails weren't attached to my nailbed anymore. It was horrible! 4 months later and they are just getting back to normal. A regular mani that chips is good enough for me.

I got the Shellac 5 days ago and I LOVE it! Not as many colors as the OPI kind yet, but it's sooo much better than OPI.
When it's time to take it off, they just wrap your finger tips with acetone on cotton ball and cover with tin foil. It comes right off after 10 minutes. Without filing and ruining your natural nail.
It cost me $25 at Karma Beauty Salon in Merirck.
