Coach Outlet (Tanger) vs Coach Store
Is there a difference in product/quality?

Re: Coach Outlet (Tanger) vs Coach Store
I hink there are some things they sell in the outlet that never make it to the stores and vice versa. However Im pretty sure that the guarantee is for all products both outlet and store.

They sell first quality at the outlet, and they also sell slight defects. Their guarantee is the same though - any coach product can me returned at any time for a swap, or a credit for the selling price.
I bought a keychain in the store a few years ago - it had stones in it. A LOT of the stones fell out. I happened to see the same one in the outlet last year and said, "Hey, that's what it looks like all nice adn new before all the stones fall out! "
The manager overheard me, asked to see the damaged one, and they let me have a brand new one! They took back the damaged (very used) one, and gave me a new one, no questions asked. That's service!
eta: My sister had a Coach umbrella ruined by the wind. It turned inside out. She brought it back a year after purchase and they let her choose a new one.

Re: Coach Outlet (Tanger) vs Coach Store
Coach stands behind their products regardless of whether you buy at the outlets or at the regular retail stores. I have been told (and have noticed myself) that they tend to get more all-leather things at the outlets. Also, supposedly, the outlets sell at a minimum 20-25% off and often run specials on a style line or colo, so sometimes you get lucky and save 50%. The best part is that even if it is years down the line, if a zipper tears, or a binding wears, or something like that, if you bring it to a store, for a $20 service fee, they will repair your item and if it cannot be repaired, give you a 40% off coupon. The repairs are so good that you can't even tell that there has been a repair.

I always see lots of classic leather bags there as well as some of the last seasons' designs. I bought my school bag and a handbag there a couple of years ago and both are in great shape and the prices were great!
