Cobra
I have to pay cobra for my last month of maternity leave ($1100).
What a PITA!!! Anybody else have to do this? I took 4 months instead of 3.

Re: Cobra
I'm assuming it's bc you are no longer covered under FMLA and they don't have to keep your job open - so they're not paying your benefits.
Think about it this way - your company has to pay that every month for your health care coverage minus what your contribution is! Now I know why people just work for the benefits...

Seriously! I actually do not make a contribution at all, which is nice.
I am no longer covered under fmla, I only got 12 weeks. But they are keeping my job open, I think they allowed 9 months before they fill your position. There is someone covering me now.
