Coffee creamer and dieting, how do you like your coffee?
Love my coffee and the French vanilla creamer. So bad! Does anyone know of an alternative? Tia. How do you like your coffee?

I've seen fat free half and half...have you tried that?
I used to only use creamer, but I switched to skim milk. Before I made the full switch, I would put in about half the creamer that I used to and use half skim milk...so I'd get a little of each

I love it light and sweet with half and half! I don't eat artificial sweeteners and milk/skim just doesn't cut it for me! I really can't compromise, I just drink a smaller cup

Re: Coffee creamer and dieting, how do you like your coffee?
Vanilla soy milk or almond milk is great if you want a little flavor. I'll even use chocolate soy sometimes. Try using half one of those, and half milk to "ween" yourself off the creamer. For someone like me who drinks a lot of coffee, it made a big difference in my diet.
Just a heads up the fat-free creamers are packed with sugar and chemicals, I always steer clear.

I use 2 T of half and half if it's flavored coffee or the SF Vanilla coffeemate if it's unflavored.

I like it half and half one Splenda.
I need the half and half though. I can deal with Equal, Sugar, Nutrasweet etc but I have to have the half and half.

Re: Coffee creamer and dieting, how do you like your coffee?
I found sugar free french vanilla coffeemate powder. Its low in carbs and it gives the coffee a creamy taste. If I run out of that or I have coffee out somewhere I use half and half or heavy cream without any sugar or sweetner.
I can't stand regular milk especially milk in my coffee YUCK!

half & half and one sugar.
I would rather have the real half & half than the fat free with the hydrogenated stuff in in.
I only use a little anyway.

The one thing that I haven't given up is my morning coffee with flavored creamer (either Amaretto or Vanilla). I tried the "fat free" versions and all I can say is eeewww! Definitley not the same.

Re: Coffee creamer and dieting, how do you like your coffee?
For the girls that can't give up the flavored creamer, look in the grocery store for a powdered version by coffeemate. I swear the powder makes it taste creamy and it shaves a lot of calories off. Some even come in fat free or sugar free versions.

This is a good weaning technique. I usually keep both in my fridge but always end up using just the creamer.

Re: Coffee creamer and dieting, how do you like your coffee?
It's really hard to find sometimes but I use Low-Fat Half and Half. It's a nice compromise because full fat is too much and no fat doesn't taste great to me.
I don't have suggestions on the flavoring though, sorry!
