Cold, Fever, 2 WW& Medications - HELP
I'm so bummed. I'm 5 DPO and I have been feeling sick all day. My chest is congested, head hurts and my temps are higher than usual (99.4). Question - what medications can I take? I'm about to rub some Vicks for the congestion but can I take any cold medications. Help...........

Re: Cold, Fever, 2 WW& Medications - HELP
There is a list on WebMD of meds that are safe to take. I can't find it right now (have saved in myfavorites at work). But they did say that tylenol was safe-that one I just happen to remember.
Also there is a website called safefetus.com where you can plug in the name of a medication and it will tell you if it is acceptable to take during pregnancy.

Everything OTC is safe in the 2WW- if you are pg, you want have any blood exchange with the fetus until at least 6 weeks

Every MD has a different opinion but mine said to treat the 2WW as if I was pregnant at all times. For cold meds that would be tylenol and plain robutussin only.
