combination teething and growth spurt?

luca has been a tad bit fussier than usual. i noticed today that his bottom two teeth are coming in.

on top of that, he ate 8 oz at 9am, and was crying at 12:30 pm for another bottle. (he usually only gets 6 oz. and we are not consistent with solids yet). at 4:30om he had 6 oz., he had cereal and fruit at 5:30pm, and he just sucked down another 8 oz! it's not even 7pm!!

is he eating more b/c he is teething or could this be a growth spurt?

probably a growth spurt. Teething they tend to eat less if they're really bothered by it because the nipple hurts them. That's what i hear anyway.
