Comforters...pacifiers, etc
I was just wondering if anyone had a baby who had no comfort method? ie, doesn't take a pacifier, no thumb sucking...
We are having a nightmare at the moment with Noah sleeping and he is in my bed (which I love, but know I will pay for in the long run) my husband is in the spare room because we only have a queen sized bed.
Noah gets himself all upset but can't calm down, he won't take a paci, can't **** his thumb for comfort and I am his only comfort. He puts his thumb under whatever top I am wearing and ***** the thumb through the fabric of my top. Sometimes I can give him a muslin and he will **** on that for a few seconds...
Anyway, I want to try controlled crying soon, but am scared because he has no comfort methods. Does anyone have any suggestions???

Wow I don't know.... how about cutting a piece of one of your shirts and giving it to him to put his thumb through? It has your scent on it, thats whats probably comforting to him.

I didn't want Julia to have a pacifier or a blanket, cause 1 she didnt want them, and 2 I dont want to go through the trouble of weaning her later. Such a PITA!! I saw what my sister went through.
ETA: Will he take a stuffed animal? or something like that?

Katie has a little lamb blanket that she loves- I gave it to her a few times while she was sleeping with me and then moved it in to the crib with her. It seemed to help.
