comfy shoes/flip flops for summer?
Any recommendations for comfy flip flops or flats? Shoes I normally find comfy are not working for me this summer so far My usual go-to flip flops (teva) seem too flat and are hurting my feet! And since it will only get worse as I get larger this summer, I'm hoping to find something that helps my aching feet!

I've been wondering the same thing. My doctor said I should wear shoes with good arch support, which flip flops definitely don't have. But I really don't want to have to wear sneakers all summer, not cute!

Re: comfy shoes/flip flops for summer?
I hate flip flops and thongs. They hurt in between my toes! I also need a lot of cushion. I just bought a pair of born sandals - actually platform ones that weren't that high and love them (Born Laurene from Lord and Taylor and got them on sale for $50). They are also stylish. Some of the born ones are manley looking and was not going to spend $$$$ on ugly sandals I'm only going to need extra comfort for for a few weeks. BTW ... I am 32 weeks along so I hear how uncomfortable things can get. I have also been going to a podiatrist and was told flip flops can be just as bad as high heels because of the total lack of arch support. What my child chooses to wear when they become adults is there business but I will never put them on their growing feet!

I used to wear Teva but I have been into Yellow Box Flip Flops ~ Very cushy on the bottom ~ feels like a slipper/walking on a cloud.

Have you tried the Merrell brand? They are so comfy and you can sometimes find them at half price at Marshalls or TJ Maxx. Love those two stores...

Re: comfy shoes/flip flops for summer?
When I was pregnant and SOOOOO swollen I got a pair of Croc Flip Flops. My GOD they were SOOOO comfy and supportive- even on my Fred Flinstone swollen feet! I still wear them to this day- 2 years later! (They don't look like Crocs at all)

Even when I'm not pregnant I swear by fit flips. For some reason they really help my back too when I'm sore. Whenever I wake up and feel achy I wear them around the house and they really help.

Re: comfy shoes/flip flops for summer?
Montrail flip flops are the best. They may not be the most stylish, but I live in them. They have incredible arch support for flip flops. I had a terrible case of plantar faciitis in both feet and the montrail flip flops were amazingly helpful and really helped take the stress off my arches. I've never seen them in normal stores though, just running shops (and to be perfectly honest, I bought them when I still lived in Tucson, AZ - I have yet to see them anywhere here in NY)
