Comfy shoes for plantar fasciitis
Can anyone recommend comfy and cute shoes for someone with plantar fasciitis that are great if you're on your feet for 10-12 hrs?! I do trade shows and recently was told all my foot pain was due to plantar fascitis. I don't want "old lady" looking shoes. I still want to look cute at these events but at the same time don't want to feel like I want to cut my feet off by the end of the day!

Re: Comfy shoes for plantar fasciitis
I have custom orthotics and wear Vionic shoes for when the orthotics don't work for the shoe.
My insurance didn't cover the orthotics, but the 300 dollars is worth it.
The orthotics are really only good for sneakers or simple shoes, since they are so big/wide that you need a wide, high backed shoe, etc or it just ends up slipping.
For the shoes that I need dressier, or slippers or sandals I only wear Vionic. Vionic (previously Orthaheel)
I usually buy from Sole Provisions , they are on LI so shipping is really fast, and free both ways.

Comfy shoes for plantar fasciitis
For me a wedge shoe was the best. A flat shoe such as Toms for a long period would be pure hell.
I also did physical Therapy and that helped

Comfy shoes for plantar fasciitis
I am on my feet about 9hrs a day and I really like the orthaheel brand. They have these orthotic sandals I always wear in the summer. Haven't tried any of the regular shoes yet though.

I have their sandals, slippers, etc. and I love them. They look half decent too, they don't look as supportive and crochety as they really are.
OP: They do take a while to break in. Dont put them on first and expect to wear them all day. A few hours at a time. They will feel odd since they are probably more high-arched then you are used to.

Same here. Good arch support, no flip flops at all. A lot of stretching too. Took a long time to heal.
