Coming home outfit ???
Is it just for pics, for sentimental reasons or is there another reason? Anything better for baby due to umbilical cord, etc? I am a bit confused if I should be looking for something specific.

I thought one piece b/c of umbilical cord was better, but alot of moms on here have said they used 2 pieces and were fine. So i dont think theres any specific you have to get. I found for dd a cute velvet outfit to take her home (it said "LOVE" on her butt).. she only wore it for the ride home tho, as soon as we got home i stripped her downt o her onesie.. Im just finding something cute and comfy for this baby also.

I think its more for pictures and sentimental reasons, I got a two piece, the woman at Denny's said to get for the umbilical cord, so I honestly have no ideal.....

I think it is for sentimental reasons and coming home pictures. Andrew's outfit is in his keepsake box and I love looking back on it. My sister bought it from him in Paris and it meant a lot to me. He was sooo tiny

Like "That's" what you came home in...
Still when I think about it, unless you're going to pass it down, it really wasn't that important to me.
Silly me got a 3m outfit! LOL so my tiny baby looks even SMALLER but I love how she looked and she's only wore it one other time (her pictures) but honestly I did NOT spend a lot of money on it, that's just me.

i just wanted to add.. i work in a nursery, and in the NICU and parents bring in the most beautiful clothes for the take me home outfits. sometimes well... impractical for a newborn really.. but none the less they look beautiful. you don't know how many times i have seen these babies throw up or poop or pee thru these clothes before mom even gets the picture.
i just always picked something from what i had.. nothing extra special at all.
