Coming Home Outfit- Summer Babies
Do we need to bring to the hospital socks/booties for our summer babies? Do they need them in the summer?
What about a hat?
The outfit I have I think is a one-piece outfit that's shorter than pants (I'm clueless, it's hard to judge how long a newborn is ) and it's sleeveless. I've also packed a receiving blanket for her, and the car ride is only 10 minutes.

Re: Coming Home Outfit- Summer Babies
Basically the rule of thumb for babies is..that they dont have to be dressed any warmer than we are...EXCEPT for a hat...I havent bought anything yet BUT Im planning on just bringing him home in a one piece type thing (definetly short sleeves and either shorts or no legs)..I'll have the receiving blanket that my mom buys for all my babies..and the beenie that my neighbor is making..

I am going to bring a "one piece" and a little hat. Then I have a "backup" outfit with short legs, with socks and hat.

Re: Coming Home Outfit- Summer Babies
I have a one piece from Baby Gap with a hat. I think I might look for another outfit that's a little more dressy, but I know I'm not dressing up to leave, it's a 15 minute drive and it'll be July, so i think mom and baby will be casual and cool.

Re: Coming Home Outfit- Summer Babies
Thanks ladies. I packed little booties and a little hat, just in case, even though I probably won't use them.

Re: Coming Home Outfit- Summer Babies
My sister just bought me the same outfit. I love it. I'm due Aug. 7 and I have a long sleeve onepiece carters stretchie, I figured b/c of AC and stuff but I might bring this one along also. What do you think? Is a longsleeve outfit too much. We are only 10 min. from the hospital.

I am using this by Kissy Kissy (it's white w/ pink trim). It's a very thin cotton so I think the long sleeves and pants are okay. I also have a pair of booties. My mom is INSISTING I put a sweater on her (I don't plan on it!).

As a BTDT mom...
I am taking a cute one piece onsie that's it. DD will wear the hospital hat home and if she needs a blanket, which i doubt since it's july, i will take one from the hospital.

Re: Coming Home Outfit- Summer Babies
Denny's didn't have the matching hat for my Take Me Home outfit - so no hat for Jack. It's two pieces and I have a blanket also.
