Coming home outfit-two gender specific or one gender neutral?
So I am getting to the point where I want to buy something cute and special for baby to come home in.
DH and I are debating on whether or not to buy a pink and a blue and return one (and have my mom wash the other one while I am in the hospital) or just buy a gender neutral one.
I am including a poll, but would love opinions, too.

With Kev, I bought a pink and a blue one and returned the pink one after he was born. It was really cute because I found very similar outfits in pink and blue. I bought the ame hats, blankets and all just in both pink and blue. The outfits were mostly white and had blue/pink bears on it. I wanted white - to really scream newborn baby!

I am debating this too. I see so many cute outfits and I am not due until July. Then I see really nice white ones. I think I might lean towards a white one and then just get a pink hat since I have a blue one already.

With my first, I just picked something neutral and have done the same with this baby. [yes, it's already bought and waiting and the baby isn't due until June 8th]. I just didn't want to rely on someone to wash something and bring it to me or I might have done something differently...but I also love the adorable green and white outfit I picked out.

I would get something gender neutral- with everything going on during those first few weeks, will you want to have to deal with returning an outfit to the store?

I was going to ask my mom to do that.
My mom actuallys said she would go out and buy a gender specific outfit while I was in the hospital but part of me wants to pick it out.
I guess I just feel like we have a closet filled with neutral things, I am itching for something pink or blue.

I am going through the same dilema. I have SO much white, green, yellow from when Emma was an unknown that I am sick of unisex clothes. I am going gender specific and returning one. I found really cute ones from Little Me.

My mom went out and bought the outfit when I was in the hospital. I can understand if you want to pick out your own, so I would get both and return one.

I think you should buy a pink and blue outfit and then return the one you don't use. I think it is cute leaving the hospital in a pretty color. Or you can buy a gender neutral and then have a pink and blue recieving blanket ready and return the blanket you dont use.

With Sarah I got this cute ivory and green striped sweater that I planned on bringing all our kids home from the hospital in - never thinking that the next one might be a summer baby. Pregnancy brain!
With Andy I got 2 outfits and returned one.
