Thank you for sharing your story, and I am sooo Happy to hear that Cole has imporved so much.
Eary intervention seems so wonderful. I just met with them yesterday even though my DS is only a month old. He had to be revived at birth, had brain cooling, had seizures, the list goes on. So he automatically qualifies, he may not need the services now, but as he reaches each milestone, I am glad that I have the option avaialble. Childrens brains are still so mailiable, that this EI really can make all the difference in the world.

Thanks so much for sharing your story! Your children are beautiful and I wish Cole continued improvement!!
I just wanted to add something. If your doctor dismisses your concerns - GO TO ANOTHER DOCTOR. My nephew's doctor dismissed my sister, telling her that children all grow at different rates. We lost precious months because of him. We also thought that he was hard of hearing - thank goodness my mother played the role of the overbearing grandmother and insisted that he be tested for everything possible.
Carlton is six now and is saying single words - he makes progress every single day.

My neice was diagnosed as having PDD-NOS... Like Cole (and other's who tested early) is doing really well, and was intergrated into a regular classroom this year (she's in 1st grade).
I can't say enough good things about EI.

Thank you so much for sharing that story with us.  Kudos for you for following your gut and not just "blowing things off" but trusting your gut. I am so glad that Cole is making so many improvements because you got him EI so early.

I'm glad Cole is doing so well. to you for taking the initiative & trusting your gut.
I do think it's important to put a face & name to an issue. I've seen people that were too afraid to find out what was wrong & delayed seeking treatment on many things - often with devastating results.
