Comments that really made me feel bad...
In the past week....
At my Grandma's wake someone heard that someone in my family was pregnant and assumed it was me and congratulated me I had to say it wasn't and directed them to the person who was..and this person said "are you sure"  YES I was very sure since my period had just started hours before
Someone said to me that same day...Wow all of your friends are pregnant or have kids...yes I am aware of that thanks!
And then we we went out for our anniversary lunch we were asked...Wow 2 year anniversary do you have kids yet? And then when I said no it was like well why not and when were we starting.
WHY are people so rude???

 I dealt with IF and
I heard so many stupid and hurtful things after I got married. It's a very sensitive and personal subject. Outsiders
never think about things like that. Hang in there.

Totally feel your pain- I have been married for 5 years and it didn't really bother me when people would ask these things since I had no desire to try yet....
Now that we are trying, I think I am going to have to poke the next person who asks me in the eye!
My only consolation is telling myself that they are not being hurtful on purpose- they have no idea what is going on, and if they did that would keep their big fat mouths shut!

I get the ocassional stare at my stomach or are you preggo yet and why is it taking you so long in the last few months. And some are family members may I add and co-workers. I just wanted to say to them NOT EVERYONE IS LUCKY TO GET PREGGO ON THEIR FIRST OR SECOND TIME TRYING Now I just ignore them

I don't have friends yet with kids but I'm sure that once that starts happening, the rude comments will be flying. Some people just don't think!

I have been married for almost 4 years and I get the "when are you having a baby" on a daily basis from my sister my MIL even my dad is begging for a grandson. It gets really annoying, now that we are TTC nobody has even said anything in like a week, go figure.
As hard as it is just try to ignore it, people are annoying.

I didn't get pregnant with DS until after my 7 Year wedding anniversary.
I got comments made to me left and right.
The only thing that shut people up is when I told them "medical reasons"..I truly was advised by Dr.s "Not to try, it could be risky" until they got to the bottom of things.
By the fall of 2005 I got the "All Clear" and then it took about 7 or 8 months to finally get pregnant.
People don't know your history and you shouldn't have to explain it.
I'd come home in tears. It's so hard.
People need to mind their own business and think before they speak.

My MIL makes comments like that all the time. To me and about other people!
I think we need to compile a list of comebacks.............
So sorry you had to deal w/ that on top of everything else.
