Communicating via LinkedIn
So I have been applying to jobs at every college on Long Island. One popped up today at my Alma Mater that I feel I would be perfect for. I found out the contact for the position has a LinkedIn profile. Is it creepy if I send her a message? Has anyone done this with positive results?

I've never done it but I wonder in today's world if you are not being aggressive enough if you don't follow-up on linkedin or if it's too aggressive and just comes across annoying to a recruiter and gives you an actual disadvantage....in your case you do have something extra going for you so I would think it will make you stand out....I'm in a job search as well and wondering how you approach this if you don't have that extra something in common....good luck!

LinkedIn is a website for professional networking, so I would imagine if you did message her there you would be using the website for its intended purposes. Nothing creepy about that!
