Re: Communion Dress - inappropriate?

Thank you for the recs on Little Rascals!! I couldn't believe how much stock they had!!! They were very helpful as well!
So I showed the photo of the dress we originally purchased to my MIL and her face said it all. She then showed it to my FIL and his face mirrored MIL's. My DH still thought we were crazy. But being that my DD didn't even try on any dresses, I thought it was best to go to a store to see what they have and test out some fittings.
We ended up with a Christie Helene. My DD looks like a princess in it!
I was telling my next door neighbor about my dress chaos and then showed her the photo and she loved it and thought it was cute. She also has 4 girls who received 1st communion. She said a lot of girls wear those types of gowns.
Well, I made my MIL and FIL happy.
That is so great to hear! I am glad something else worked out for your DD.
Again, maybe just have her wear it to the party after if she really misses it.

Re: Communion Dress - inappropriate?
It's cute but not for a communion. My mom would have a heart attack if I chose that lol

Re: Communion Dress - inappropriate?
I think the dress was a little inappropriate for a communion, but god I LOVE IT!!

Re: Communion Dress - inappropriate?
It looks a little out of the gypsy show on TLC for my tastes.. but my daughter would LOVE that dress.. which is exactly why I didn't take her communion dress shopping with me.

It's a very pretty dress for a party, but IMO, it's not a communion dress.
I love the second one that Goobster posted. It's traditional with a flair. Definitely communion appropriate.
,agree
I agree. I wouldn't pick that first dress. The other tow Goobster posted are perfect.
