Communion gift
What would you give for a Communion gift for the daughter of someone at work?

Re: Communion gift
How close are you to this person? Are you attending a party? You could do a check for $50-$100 depending on how close you are with the mother. You could also do a nice rosary bead set as well

Re: Communion gift
My DH and I will both be attending the party at a restaurant after the church. As for the girls' dad - we've been working together for 3 years, and have known each other for 3.5. He has helped me professionally, but we don't hang out outside of work.

Re: Communion gift
We have a Communion party soon for someone I'm not super close to. We were much better friends years ago. I think I'm giving $100 (no less than that and no more than $150). I'm not getting her anything "sentimental" because I know her family and closest friends will do that.

Re: Communion gift
Regardless of who it is, if the party is at a restaurant/catering hall, I give a minimum of $100

I agree. Money is always good, because the parents can pool the monetary gifts and put into a savings/college fund or something like that -- at least that's what I would do when I have kids.
