Completed my 1st 5k today!
Wow - what a day! I completed my first 5k race today! This has been a major goal of mine for so long and it feels amazing to have completed it. I am putting this up there with the top 5 greatest moments of my life. To cross that finish line was such an indescribable feeling. Now I know why people say you will get addicted. There is such positive energy and such nice and supportive people at the race. I have to give such a big thank you to my F4L Azad. She inspired me and gave me the nudge I needed to sign up for the race but today she pushed me to finish strong. I swear it was straight out of biggest loser. Azad finished before me and then came back to cheer me on. As I was jogging down the final hill I see Azad waving her hands and yelling for me to keep going. As she caught up to me I was about to burst into tears it was such an emotional moment for me. I wanted to keep going but my body was like screaming to stop. Azad was pushing me "Don't you dare stop, you can do it" and I did! I didn't stop and sprinted to the finish and completed it strong! I have come so far over the last year and a half and this was a day I will always remember and push me to keep going.
So for anyone thinking about signing up for a 5k - definitely do it!

Kim!!!! You and Azad both look FANTASTIC!!!!! Those are two sexy ladies I see posted above 
Congrats on your first 5K race completion! We would have LOVED to have been there to cheer you on as well!  What a major accomplishment - does this mean your next one you'll be keeping up with Weezy?

Kim that's awesome!!!! Great job!!!! I ran the same 5K today and it was a great race. I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you. I did finally get to meet the amazing Miss Azad and she really is as fabulous in person as she is on here. Great job ladies!!!

I was going to do the Oyster 5K, but now I can't. So, I am going to do the 4 mile on Nov. 9th - the autism one. My neighbor is doing it with me.

It was so great meeting you too I tried to find you afterwards to introduce you to Kim but I think you had left. Hopefully we can chat a bit more at the Oyster Bay run if the weather is better

Thanks so much everyone! Still smiling ear to ear today thinking about what I accomplished yesterday. Yes Azad said you were there and I wanted to meet you. Next time. 
Azad you are making me all teary over here and it is way too early for a love fest...kidding! I feel the same way. It's hard to describe the whole experience yesterday but I know you know what I mean. It was just awesome.

I was there too, but didn't know that you would be there...I saw Azad on the otherside of the chute (maybe cheering for you?) and I was going to wave, but thought she might think I was crazy and then I couldn't find you afterwards.
I hope you do catch the bug!
