is anyone voting mccain/palin purely because palin is a woman?
also, have the mccain palin people been life long republicans or just are voting for them this time. also, i assume all the mccain/palin voters make 250k or more a year? have very secure jobs and want for nothing?
Do you give everyone in life this much credit, or do you just like to pick on conservatives?
Do you REALLY believe that if Obama were elected, he'd automatically be able to raise taxes for those earning $250,000 per year and do exactly everything on his platform exactly how he says? That's not how our government works. The President isn't a dictator.
I will ASSUME (since I guess that's what we're doing here...) that you are unaware of the dozens of other issues facing the nation in this election.
Honestly, how do you think it would have come off if I said --
"is anyone voting for Obama only because he's black?
Also, I assume you're poor or unemployed since you want free healthcare from the government and think hardworking people earning more than $250,000 a year should subsidize that for you. I assume you must not be self-sufficient and want the government to do everything for you."
I DO NOT think that would have gone over well -- and FTR, that is absolutely in NO way how I feel about the people who are voting for Obama/Biden or how I feel about liberals at ALL. I like to give people just a tad bit more credit than you did.
And also, yes, for the record, I did read your longer explanatory post and don't think it justifies approaching the situation quite this way. It doesn't in any way explain to me why you would assume that people voting Republican in this election all want for noting and make over $250,000 per year... Sorry.

ITA. Furthermore, if we "republicans" did hypothetically make more than 250K I can honestly say that living in the NY metro area, that hardly makes one wealthy. In addition, my husband and I worked incredibly hard for our careers and have accumalated significant achool debt only to have the gov't take more of it, especially in light of the fact that under Obama's plan 50% of Americans will not pay taxes (currently 38% of Americans do not pay).

I think I have decided on McCain/Palin. I will have a more definitive answer after the debates though.

I am shocked at how close the poll is. This will certainly be an interesting and historic race!

Wow, dead even. I have to say, as someone who has been on both LIW and LIF during other elections, this is truely the first time a political poll has been dead even like this. It's definitely going to be a close race and an interesting election.

Biden/Obama - In my dreams the ticket is reversed! and Obama would be replaced with Hillary for me. But that's neither here nor there. I really hope Obama wins.

Obama/Biden.
Although I like McCain a lot, I can't in good concidence vote for him with such a conservative running mate. Had he picked someone more to the center, I would probably still be thinking about it.

Re: Comprehensive "Who are you Voting for?" Poll (with more choices)
Our families support Mccain/Palin. I am a firm believer that the President of the United States has to have miliatary service. For goodness sake, they are the Commander and Chief of the United States Military, they have to have experience! I believe in fighting for the rights that we have in this country and feel that I am blessed to live here.
I am a teacher and make no where near 250,000. I have 50,000 in student loans and paid my way through college. I believe in a strong and solid work ethic.

I'm assuming if you answer the poll that you are legally allowed to vote (i.e., of age, a citizen, etc...)
Love your disclaimer!!!

Re: Comprehensive "Who are you Voting for?" Poll (with more choices)
What I think will happen is people will write in votes or throw their vote away. Those lost votes just further split things and really does nothing for either candidate.
