Convertible carseat for tall kids?
Looking for a convertible carseat that isn't super bulky or huge (the MyRide65 looks huge!) for kids that are very tall, we have the Safety 1st alpha omega for DD and we don't like it so we are looking for something different this time for DS.
TIA!

DD is above the 95th percentile for height and we use a Britax Roundabout and a Marathon. I think that all of the seats are pretty good at accommodating tall kids.

Re: Convertible carseat for tall kids?
When you get into the taller seats they are bigger.
If you don't like the MyRide, the Marathon/Roundabouts won't be much better. But, try them out, you may be surprised. Some of these seats look much larger than they really are.
Look into the TrueFit and the Diono Radian since those sit lower on the seat. But, the reality is that any convertible these days is going to take up some room. The advantage of all of these seats (MyRide and Britax convertibles included) is that unlike the alpha omega, they can be installed at a much more upright angle when rear facing. Dorel only recently began allowing some of their seats to be installed at less than 45 degrees.
I hate the Alpha Omega. It's really the ONLY seat I despise. It's a PITA to install, use, doesn't fit ANY kid well or last anywhere near as long as advertised, stinks as a booster........... I just hate it.
