How much did dc weigh and how tall when you switched them to the convertible carseat?

I don't have one yet, and can use the infant seat for a little while longer. I have been leaving the infant seat in the car anyway, and then just taking him in and out as if it were a convertible anyway.

I think they were about 20-22 lbs and 29 inches. They were 7 or 8 months

My DS was 6 months I dont exactly remember how much he weighed and how long he was but I know that his feet were crunched touching the back of seat in the infant car seat. We got the Britex marathon and he is not 15 months and he will probably be in it for a long while.

We switched last week. He's about 19lbs, 26ish". He is definitely more comfortable in the convertible seat now. We were leaving the infant seat in the car anyway too, like you are, but he just looked so cramped. Much better now!

A little over 8 months. She was 19 lbs and close to 28" and would fit in the infant car seat for a while longer (it goes up to 30 lbs) but she just seemed so uncomfy in it so we made the switch. She loves her new convertible car seats.

I switched DD at 13 months.

She was 27inches and 21lbs

We switched DD over at 7 months. For a few reasons, she was almost 30" (approx. 17lbs) and we were taking a long road trip to Mass. and I thought the Rencaro would be more comfortable than the Graco. It sure was! She loves her convertible so much more than the infant. And now that it's warmer out, taking her in and out of the seat is fine...

im still using my infant carrier too and want to switch to the convertible soon.
Mine says for rear-facing 8 - 22 lbs i believe and forward facing 22lbs and up but i think they have to be at least 1, im not really sure bc it is at my mom's and my brother was reading it to me...I have to check it myself

we have a way to go weight wise since our infant seat goes up to 30 lbs however, he is getting more and more restless back there b/c he can't see as much at the incline the infant seat sits so I am currently on the hunt for a convertible I like.

that being said, I went to BRU the other day and I HATED HATED HATED them all!!!!!!!!!!!

all i saw was this hideous "I am here to stain and show every bit of nasty your child can produce" pseudovelour fabric.

I am not happy. hopefully I'll be able to find something I like....I am prepared to sell a kidney to do so if necessary.

I just switched DD a few days ago. She's about 17 lbs and 27 inches. I switched her because it was getting too difficult for me to lug the infant carrier in and out of the house.

6 months, about 18 lbs not sure how many inches. It was just too heavy to lug around.

DS was a little over a year, he was 20 lbs and I don't remember his height. We switched because our infant seat only went up to 22 lbs.

DS was about 8 months. He was less then 17 lbs but just below the height limit of 29" so we switched him.

I miss the infant seat though - so nice when he'd fall asleep in the car. I kept asking him not to get so tall...

I know he was over 19lbs but not sure the exact weight. It was around 7 months & the sole purpose we did it was bc we were doing a 7.5 hour car ride & DS was getting super uncomfy in his infant seat. It was the best decision we ever made.

6mo.. i don't know how much she weighed off hand. Under 20lbs for sure!

I did it because I got tired of carrying her up and down our stairs in the infant carrier. It was such a pain! I got a steal for the convertible seat so I put her in it. As an afterthought it worked out great. She learned to sleep while being put in and out and being carried in and out of the car!

I want to say around 10.5 - 11 months. We had the key fit 30. DS was so comfy in it, but it was time to switch
I feel like he leans forward too much in the convertable seat

we are getting our convertible installed friday by our township. DS is 7mo, 20lbs at his visit last week, and 27 inches.

its getting a real pain lifting him in that thing, but i will miss the convenience of just snapping it in and out of the car.

I switched DS at around 8 months old. He was way under the weight and height requirements but never really liked the infant seat. We were going on a 10 hour drive to NC so I switched it then. He has been much happier in the car ever since.

I switched DD at 9 months. I don't remember her weight, but she was 1/2 inch away from the height limit on the infant carrier at the time.

we switch around 7 months i think she was about 17lbs it was just too heavy!! I guess we could have used it and left it in the car but she is so much more comfortable in the bigger car seat.

DS was around 18 lbs and 28 1/2 inches long. We switched him when he was almost 8 months old.
