Re: Converting to gas?
we had ours done 2 years ago. the price included ripping out our old oil burner and water heater, installing the new gas burner and gas water heater (we got the burner from Key span for free...but paid for the hot water heater), and abandoning out old underground oil tank and filling in the hole. the whole job was around $5K....the best $5 we spent on the house!! Gas is sooooooooo much better and cleaner!!!

Re: Converting to gas?
Does Keyspan still offer free boilers to customers who switch to gas? They did 4 years ago when I switched over, so I only had to pay for installation (about $2,500).
