Cool event for older kids

The Cradle of Aviation museum is showing Night at the Museum - Battle for the Smithsonian in IMAX (if you've ever been to their theater, it's incredible) - includes popcorn, soda and a tour of the museum and you meet Teddy Roosevelt, Amelia Earhardt, Charles Lindberg, etc. Proceeds support the museum and educational programs. It's $40 per adult and $25 per child 12 and under. Saturday, June 20, 2009 from 6PM - 9PM.

Thanks for the info! We bought tickets last night DS has been wanting to see this movie. He'll LOVE it in IMAX! Plus, it's in a museum, so the tie-in is great. I had to keep explaining to him that it's just airplanes and space ships. No, no dinosaurs. No, no statues. No, no animals....

It was pretty cool. I've been to another IMAX theater in Oregon, so I knew what to expect, but it's still a cool experience. What was cool about this event is that after the movie, we had a quick guided tour of the museum, and it "came alive"... They had actors throughout the museum doing little skits. Abraham Lincoln, Napoleon, Amelia Earhart, Charles Lindburgh, cavemen, etc. It was nicely done. We're definitely going to go back during daytime hours so DC can play on the interactive exhibits, and see the planes in the light. They had most of the lights off during the "show".

Glad you guys had a good time. If DS was older, I definitely would have taken him.
