Cool free trade service like Craigslist...

I stumbled across this website where people list/post items they are offering ALL for FREE. It's set up like a trade site, where people list things they are giving & things they want.

You have to join a group though (nassau or suffolk) on yahoo groups & then you get bombarded w/ email--BUT if you find something you want/need, I guess its worth it.

I've been on freecycle for a while and responded to a "wanted" post myself. I gave away a 30 gallon aquarium with hood and light to someone who wanted it for their son's new turtle.

I plan on listing my white landscape rocks too, when I'm able to dig them all up.

The emails actually aren't that bad - they're usually just the administrators reiterating how to post items. Apparently, people just can't follow directions!

I will say though, if you see something you want JUMP ON IT. Because a lot of the good stuff is gone very fast.

Edited to add: Kid's toys and clothes seem to be really popular too. Parents must think it's a Godsend. I also like the idea of giving to a needy family who may not be able to provide for themselves.
