On public trans? When I had to come home on train once because I was sick, I went up to Syracuse and took Amtrack into Penn.

amtrak = about 7 hours door to door

(30 mins to drive to Syracuse), transfer time, amtrak always arrives late, blah blah blah.

And it's about $100 for a cab to the train station and the amtrak ticket.

it definitely does - i had the pleasure of doing it about 10 times from 2001 - 2004 when my DH (then BF) was there. I haaaated it. I was so excited when I finally had a car and could drive up on my own!

Ugh. Thanks guys. My DH is working up there and having a miserable time. He wants to finish out his job on Saturday afternoon and come home- and the rest of the crew want to go out partying... looks like he's stuck b/c I don't think he'll be able to get to the amtrack station w/o paying a lot of extra $$$ I'm sure.... so he'll just have to stick it out and come home sunday evening instead. Chat Icon I was looking forward to having him home a day early!!! Chat Icon

what's that? Chat Icon
He doesn't have access to a car- he's at a hotel near the school (I think) and he's working all day on Cortland's Athletic Field.
Thanks! Chat Icon

DP Dough! They make the best calzones!!!!!!!!! I went to school in Ithaca and people usually did Greyhound to save the trip to Syracuse for the train. Greyhound was also a miserable trip though.
