Cost for Alarm System?
Just wondering what this kind of thing costs - installation/monthly fees...

Ours was $175 for installation (they say free but we added a second key pad etc.) and it's like $30/mo. That's with Slomins.

It depends on how extensive a system you want. The "free" systems have limited doors, keypads, etc. You can easily get up to $3000 or more if you want lots of additional coverage, ie: multiple keypads, extra windows and doors, water alarms, fire monitoring, carbon monoxide detectors, glass breaks, motion detectors, etc. If you search this board you'll find several posts with more detail. I think a lot of them have been under Security Systems subject lines.
