OK so we just did this 2 weeks ago so I have some updated information for you.
My BIL got it delivered by Delea, 2400 sq ft, I think they got it for .37/sq ft, his BIL knew someone that worked there so that is a good price, I was quoted about .48/sq ft from them.
We also called Delalio sod and was quoted .47/sq ft... then my husbands uncle who used to be a grounds keeper for eisenhower ordered it through a guy that still works there and we got it for .36/sq ft... which is a great price!
We also ordered 2400 sq ft. You have to pay a deposit for the palets that they come on, $10 each, but if you return them after you get that $ back.
You must lay it within 24 hours of delivery, it dries out super fast.
You also have to make sure to prepare the site properly, as far as grading, lime peat moss etc. etc. goes. and must water it a lot the first 2 weeks or so!
Wednesday will be 2 weeks since we put it in and it looks beautiful! I am thrilled!

we bought some from delea 2 years ago. I think it was a palette (600 sq ft) for $295, but we had one of their workers install it for us, so we ended up getting about 1000 sq feet for $295.
