Cost of twin mattress/box spring?
We're looking into a twin size bed for our 3yo. The prices vary a lot.
We plan on using this bed for years. Does anyone recall how much they paid for their kids' twin size beds? What's the average price we should expect to pay for a bed that we want to be comfortable and last several years? (Not including frame/headboard.)

Re: Cost of twin mattress/box spring?
We just upgraded my DD's bed and got a new mattress and box spring for a twin bed. We looked at a few places and it seems like a good, cheap set can be $200, middle of the road was about $300-400 and higher end was about $400+ We went middle of the road because she is only 6 and want it to last 5+ years, but not forever.

Re: Cost of twin mattress/box spring?
Thank you for your response. My search has been limited to the internet, but I was figuring about $500 for middle of the road. I was so surprised it would be that much, but then again, I haven't purchased a twin bed in a long time (or ever!).
My logic of saving money by putting baby #2 in my first DS's crib didn't really pan out, since we have to buy DS a regular bed.
