Cost to add a bathroom
What can we do a simple (very standard toilet/sink/tub) for? DH & his dad will do it - so labor isn't an issue. As far as plumbing, the bathroom would be installed above our existing bathroom on the first floor so the pipes are there.

I would do minimum tiles to keep the cost down as well. Either no tile on the walls or maybe some wainscotting.
I would say probably $5k.

Re: Cost to add a bathroom
I'd say around $3000 if you get your fixtures at Home Depot/Lowes and don't go too crazy with expensive tiles. Not sure what kind of sink you're planning for; vanities can run very expensive but you can find decent ones at HD and even upgrade to a granite top you can buy off the shelf at Expo.

Re: Cost to add a bathroom
Thanks - everything will be basic (probably just a pedestal sink, reg tub or even a shower upstairs and toilet).
