Cost to dog-ear a cape and add bath?
Does anyone have any idea how much it would cost to dog ear the 2nd floor (when u walk up the stairs) and add a bath??

I am getting quotes to do a half dormer now. I would guess to do what you want to do, maybe 15-20k.

whats a half dormer? Is that to kick out toe back of the pitched cape roof?

Well I don't know what they call it exactly. I have a cape style house with the slanted roof on the second floor. I wanted to push one side of the house (rear side) so that wall is a straight wall and add a window.
A lot of the contractors kept asking me if I was doing this to add a bathroom so I guess thats the main reason why people do it.
I was getting quotes in the 12-18k range without the bathroom. But I am not seriously looking. I am only getting some quotes to address a different issue.
