CPSE Evaluation Site Question

Can anyone give me an idea of how to go about choosing an agency? I know nothing about any of them. Plus my school district is actually listed as an agency so should I just choose the school district? Also, where are the evaluations typically done (he's 3)? I'm figuring at home and/or at daycare (he goes full time), is that right or does it depend on the agency you pick?

I would ask around and get recommendations based on that. I would suggest Little Village or Up Wee Grow. Most of the evaluations are either done at the evaluation site or in your home. You should be present for all of them. There will probably be a classroom observation which will be done of your child at school.

We asked a friend in the field. We used About All Kids (?) in Plainview, I thought they were very slow. I have heard good things about Little Village.

Never heard a school district listed as an agency?

They did one of the evaluations at our home, one I brought him to the agency office, and then they also evaluated him at his preschool to see how he was in the setting. It was for speech.

I just went through this process and used Little Village and was very happy. I've also used Marion K Soloman in the past and was happy with them also.
