Crazy Azz Thing I Saw This Weekend..
I had some horrible tummy pains so ended up in the ER.. while I was there enjoying my morphine  I saw/heard the craziest thing! My mom went to the lobby to make a phone call and said there was a girl on the floor doubled over in pain. She was crying/moaning and begging to be seen. Twenty minutes later and she ends up on the bed right next to me.. She is screaming for help, I felt so bad for her!  . Nurse comes over, asks for urine sample. She goes to the bathroom and isn't able to give one so doctor comes over and says they're going to have to insert catheter because she *needs* a urine sample. Girl goes to bathroom.. pees.. comes back.. gives to nurse. Doctor comes back, asks her to put on gown and starts trying to figure out what is wrong... Girl last had her AF in June, has lower back pain. Doctor walks away and girl falls on floor bc she is in so much pain.. Nurse rushes over and helps her back on to the bed.. Doctor comes over with another doctor and a sono machine. Girl starts screaming again, doctor starts doing sono. All of a sudden.. a heartbeat! Doctor told her she is at LEAST 6 months pregnant and is in labor!
Girl starts freaking out asking how it's possible.. I could not believe it! I've seen the show "I didn't know I was pregnant" but didn't know that happened in real life!

I know- I never would've believed it if I hadn't witnessed it first hand.
I can't even imagine waking up and not feeling well and then going home at the end of the day with a BABY!

I can't fathom not knowing at 6 months but last summer a girl I know wore her binkini all summer at 6 months and looked better than the non preg moms. Almost completely flat tummy no belly. If she hadn't told me I would never have known.

i know someone who is quite tall and has a long middle... she's had three babies and never looked pregnant... those kids had all sorts of room to grow in.
as far as the other signs of pregnancy... that's just crazy! i know it has happened, i know it exists, but it's just crazy to think that you start your day as usual... get a tummy ache (or worse)... and end your day with a child!
i hope that baby and mother are ok

Same here, but I work with someone who it just happened to a few months back! I also know of a friend of a family member that it happened to!

If she really didn't know, I think I'd feel robbed of the chance to fully experience being pregnant. I hope mom and baby are doing well

True! But it might make you more inclined to go through it again. "Labor was hell, but I didn't even KNOW I was pregnant!"

Holy crap! Poor girl. I hope she and baby are ok if she is in labor at only around 6 months.
I always saw that show and didn't believe it, but I guess it can happen.

I had a student whose mother woke up with a severe upset stomach, got rushed to the hospital and came home with a healthy baby girl.
Many years earlier she had uterine cancer and was told after treatment that she could never have anymore children. She said she watched her belly get bigger in fear that the cancer returned. No cancer (thank goodness)...it was a baby instead.
