Cream for diaper rash.
Jared has a bad diaper rash on his little bum and I can see that he's sooo uncomfortable. I've tried desitin and balmex but they don't seem to work. Is there something else that's better???

I agree. This works awesome. Peyton was so raw last week. I used this twice and it cleared it up almost immediately.

I use Aquaphor...doctor recommended it...Bella had one teeny diaper irritation and within an hour of putting that stuff on, it was gone...I use it daily and she's been a very smooth butt baby...

i use balmex, but my ds just got a "yeast" type diaper rash for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and belive it or not, my doctor told me to use "lotrimin", on it. its a cream for athletes foot. but it worked like a charm!!!!

Wich Desitin are you using? I was using the blue one and Nicholas got a bad diaper rash. I changed to the purple one (Original) and it worked great.

Triple Paste (I get it at CVS) works the best for Jack especially with toddler poo and cutting molers.
you put it on heavy like your icing a cake! He loves it and it goes away super fast.

We use aquaphor. But, he has never had a really sore bottom. Definitely worth a try though.

i also use Butt Paste and acquafor. DD had a rash that i just couldn't get rid of, nothin was working, we tried the creams, lotrimin. I felt soo bad, her skin was peeling off and leaving behind rawness.
She wound up having a yeast/bacterial infection and we wound up getting a prescrip for Bactroban, it made it look 100 times better in 2 days.
Now we just use a nice slather of vaseline to protect her bottom.
Hope he feels better soon

Regularly I use balmex or desitin, but for a bad rash Butt Paste has worked best!

Triple Paste. THe rash will be just about gone by tomorrow if you load it on. I swear by this when Jake gets bad diaper rashes. It costs a bit more but definatly worth it. You can get it at CVS. Hope Jareds tush feels better soon

Desitin usually always works for us. The one time it didn't, Christopher needed a special prescription ointment. Maybe bring him to the ped and get it checked out? Hopefully he feels better soon!

Another vote for Triple Paste. We have been using it a lot since he is cutting his molars.

I tried them all when he had a really bad diaper rash around his birthday. Triple Paste was 2nd best and it's pricey. Desitin original (purple) worked the best. If you read the labels, it's got the highest % of zinc oxide - the active ingredient.
My Ped also recommended mixing Mylanta in with the cream. She said that due to teething, the salinity of their excess saliva changes and that can cause the diaper rash so Mylanta helps in that way. We tried and it was messy and didn't seem to make the rash go away any quicker, but I figured I'd let you know in case you wanted to try - it may work for Jared. Hope he feels better soon!
