Creepy phone call
I pick up the phone for a # I don't recognize. He called my house # twice in a row.
Me: Hello
Caller: (in a very heavy indian accent) Yes , Im calling to let you know that your daughter came to my house today and kicked my dog.
Me: I think you have the wrong #
Caller: Your daughter came to my house today and kicked my dog and now he needs an operation
Me: My daughter is only 2 years old.
He continues to go on and on saying "Why did she do that?" " answer the question" I didn't say anthing and then he said "shut up! shut up you ba$tard" Then he hung up.
I did a reverse lookup and its a landline in Patchogue , which is where I live. Creepy. I have had this phone # for 5 years

Yes, definitely. DH tried to call the # back but it just rings and rings. No one picks up.
I am hoping he realized he had the wrong # and wont call back

this sounds weird, but I believe it may have been audio from this website (or another)
it's a "famous" prank call about an Indian -sounding man calling someone and saying their dog was kicked by the caller's daughter and now the dog needs an operation.

and honestly, between this and the break-in of your DHs car, I'd just play it safe and maybe report this if you can?

What he said was actually a prank call. I heard it on a online sound board before. Maybe it was some kids playing on the phone.

Didn't the Jerky Boys do the "You Kicked My Dog" prank call for their album? My brother had their tape years ago... it was probably a random prank phonecall.

Yep it's a prank call. I think it's through prankdial.com if I remember correctly. It's someone you know messing with you. They put in your number and can choose any number to show up on your phone. Then after the recording is done, they can go listen to your reaction.

Like everyone else said, it's probably someone doing the jerky boys call. But considering the thing with you DH's jacket, I'd probably feel a little nervous, maybe make a non-emergency call to the cops and fill them in on what happened.

Why don't you reverse it and find the person's name, which should be listed if it's a landline? That way if you keep getting pranked, you have a name and could it possibly be whomever broke into your car is being a wise guy?

This is def not connected to the car break in. Our block has been having break in for a while. My GPS was stolen over a year ago.
I was looking at a friends facebook and he also got pranked, so it was someone connected to us thats playing a joke.
Hahahaha, in that case, I totally got pranked.

I am laughing because I remember that from HS and it was said in an Indian Accent...it was one of those sound boards on a website (ebaumsworld.com maybe), don't worry its def. a prank!

It had to be this- or stupid kids who have heard that and wanted to emulate it. Not to belittle the situation but I actually had to chuckle when I read your post- I remember the youtube video from highschool.
