Crib Mattress Question
How much do you spend on a mattress or which one did you register for?
I registered for my furniture at BBB & the lady helped me pick a mattress...apparently I picked an extremely expensive one
I had no idea! My friend said I am nuts - it's over $300 The sales lady said it was highly recommended and you flip the sides when the baby gets older.
Need some suggestions for less expensive mattresses!

Re: Crib Mattress Question
I got a 252 coil organic mattress, it was $299. I know you can get a mattress for a lot cheaper, but I really wanted organic.

Re: Crib Mattress Question
Make sure you measure the exact size of the crib, and the mattress. They are "standard" sizes, but they vary by an inch or more sometimes. I went with the mattress that fit the crib the best. Some of the more expensive ones were a little shorter, and I didn't want the gap between the mattress and the sides.
I figure that if DC can sleep on the floor, on my chest, on top of toys, etc, they don't care about the mattress too much. Any mattress will be more comfortable than sleeping curled up inside a cardboard box with plastic toys.... (and yes, pretty much all DC will sleep in the weirdest spots....)
