Cross-post: West Islip Pediatricians - Dr. George or Dr. Woletsky (Suffolk Ped)
Hi,
I am unsure if anyone on this board will be able to help, but I posted on the parenting board and am not getting any responses, so I'm desperate and hope maybe some of you have already have children might know!!........
I am torn between these two practices for a pediatrician. Since I'm on bedrest, I never got to visit Dr. Woletsky, but my good friend loves them. I did visit Dr. George, he is literally around the corner from where we live, office is beautiful, clean, etc and I liked him. The only dilemma is that the last appt is 5:00 or so, no late hours. When I go back to work, that will be an issue. I know they have Saturday hours, but I'm unsure if they will be impossible to get an appt with on Saturdays. Suffolk Pediatrics (Woletsky) has three late nights, which might work better for me; however, I never met the drs there and am unsure if that is a good reason to choose one over the other.
Any feedback on these practices? And aside from unplanned sickness, how many times will I be bringing babies there in the beginning? Thanks so much.

I use Dr Woletsky, and absolutely LOVE him. The office is very accomodating as well.

I am tempted to use them b/c of their hours.

I met with Dr. Woletsky and he took the time to explain the entire practice, the hours, on call, etc. He was very personable. I also need a practice with late hours as I work far away. That was one of the reasons I went with them as well.
I cant speak for more than that as I have yet to give birth.
ETA: If for any reason after my baby is born, I find this was not a good choice, there are several other practices in the area with good reputations.

They are both great. Dr. George is very nice and a great ped. and Dr. W. was my pediatrician when I was a kid and I loved going to him!
