Cruise w/ Kids Questions - Bermuda?

Do ALL cruise lines charge for the child clubs while you are in port? If you did a cruise to Bermuda, was it redundant staying it the same port each day? Most of the inside rooms I'm seeing say they sleep 4, but I only see 2 twin beds. Do they usually have pull out couches?

We did not use the kids club on our cruise to Bermuda because my kids were too young. I felt like there was enough to do with three days in port. I really recommend going to the Princess in Hamilton for High Tea. It was the highlight of the trip. We also enjoyed relaxing on Horseshoe Bay beach.

I think so. We have been on RCCL and NCL with our kids but we never left them in the kids clubs while at port as they always went with us.

there can also be 2 beds that come out of the wall, so kinda like bunkbeds, thats how you get 4

Re: Cruise w/ Kids Questions - Bermuda?

Carnival did not charge us for the kids club, it was included.

I would call the cruise line when you book to make sure they have the room set up correctly for you. We had a king bed, a crib and a twin bed in our room. With room to spare! Ignore the pictures...the couches transform into twin beds. If it says sleeps 4, it means that 2 beds will come down out of the ceiling like bunk beds.

I would call to make sure you get the right configuration for your room.Chat Icon

It depends on the room and the cruiseline. But I think you will find that most will have what they call pullman beds (which are beds that pull down from the wall or ceiling with small rail on the side. Some rooms might have a pull out couch - but those are usually for sleeping 3 total not 4.

It depends on the cruiseline and room type to what it looks like and what they can do. I know a while back some lines wouldn't push the beds together to make a queen if you had 2 pullmans being used - they kept them as twins. Not sure if they still do that.

Here are some pictures to give you an idea.

Now there are other categories that don't use pullman - some lines have family view rooms or family rooms and they had 2 pull out couches etc.

this is a pullman:

As far as charges for the kids clubs. We are going on Celebrity to Bermuda later this summer - they don't charge for days in port - BUT they do charge $6 per hour ($12 charge) if you leave them in for lunch on port days between 12-2. Otherwise it is free. There is a charge at dinner time I think 5-7 of $6 but again the rest of the days are free. So unless you plan to leave them in all day there wouldn't be a charge.

Thank you all. We opted not to do the cruise, since I'm concerned about illness ruining the cruise! Especially with one that always has hands in mouth!

Not sure about the child clubs charges but the rooms do have either pull out couches or bunk beds that fold out from the wall.

We've taken the 3-day Bermuda cruise on NCL a few times before and it's great. You can get a 3-day unlimited bus pass for about $15 and that'll take you anywhere in Bermuda pretty much.
