Cruise while pregnant
We just booked a cruise for November to Bahamas...I wll be 18 weeks when we go which is fine with the cruise line they say 24 weeks. Has anyone gone on a cruise while pregant? Did you plan any excursions? The ocean is ok to go in right? i will be telling my dr next appointment but I wanted to see who else has any info on this! I am soooo excited DH has never been on one, I have been on 2 before!
Atleast we save on the alcohol bill!
TIA

Re: Cruise while pregnant
I just went on a cruise this June when I was just turning 24 weeks.
It was wonderful I didn't do any excursions....but swam A LOT in the ocean, the pool. Ate a ton and enjoyed it.
It was a great time!
Hope you have fun!!!

Re: Cruise while pregnant
I just went while 20 weeks pregnant. I also had my 9 month old with me, so we had limited options on excursions, but we still did an excursion or 2 at every stop. There were enough that we could all do, although I certainly would have chosen some more adventurous ones if I wasn't preggers and we didn't have DD. I had a great time.

Re: Cruise while pregnant
There were a bunch of preg chicks on my last cruise. All that food! Hells yeah. Plus the excursions are always rated as far as physical rigor. We did plenty of low key stuff on our cruise just out of laziness haha.

Re: Cruise while pregnant
I went on a cruise back in April, I was 8 weeks pregnant. We did excursions, had a good time. Only trouble for me was morning sickness which came on full force toward the end of the cruise.
Have a great time!

Re: Cruise while pregnant
I went on a cruise in May and I was 10 weeks. I had no problems what so ever. I did excursions, some we canceled b/c they were too strenous (walking up hills and snorkeling). I just took it easy. Took breaks and drank TONS of water. I always took a nap after we got back on the ship before dinner. THe nap allowed me to stay awake longer than I normally would.
Have fun!
