Crying during pooping?
Well as if we don't have enough issues now my daughter screams when she is pooping. I thought it was a one time thing yesterday because she hadn't gone in 24 hours but now we sit going through the same thing again today. Has this happened to anyone else? What did you do. She's getting breastmilk and formula right now.

Re: Crying during pooping?
Is she constipated - meaning are her poops hard and formed? If not, I don't think there's much you can do. Maybe call your ped and ask. When Jake seemed to be struggling to poop our ped recommended adding 1oz of pear juice to his formula. I actually never tried it because it got better on it's own but you can always call and ask (don't give her the pear juice without asking your ped first). Jake was never really crying or screaming, just grunting and appeared to be straining, but his poops were still soft and watery.

Re: Crying during pooping?
Christopher had that problem. He would cry and strain and scream and it wasn't until recently that it started getting better. At first we thought it was constipation, but it wasn't and then our ped told us that sometimes their sphincter muscles just need to stretch out and it can take up to 4 months of age for them to be comfortable going to the bathroom (if it goes beyond 4 months, the ped physically helps stretch it ). We also switched formula twice to help ease the pain and he's doing very well on the Enfamil Gentlease. I know it's hard. It was torture for DH and I to hear him scream like that

Hmmmm this makes sense because yesterday I went to changer her and she happened to still be pooping and she started screaming bloody murder. It wasn't hard at all but I just kept thinking her little butthole is so small for all this poop. God help me if I have to hear her scream for 4 months.
