Re: Csection moms - recovery help?

My feet an ankles were swollen very badly. I don't remember my abdomen being abnormally swollen, but it was still pretty big.

Give it time! It is difficult to get up and down. Try to have DH do at least one night feeding, if you can. I remember there was a day it was so bad, I slept while sitting on the couch it was so difficult to get up from laying position.

MY Ob told me to drink a lot of fluids which help to wash the excess fluid out of your body. He told me it could take a few weeks - but I got rid of the water pretty quickly - keep drinking. I am sorry you are so uncomfortable - it will go awayChat Icon Chat Icon

My legs and ankles were really swollen but that was because I was on an IV for 4 days -it went away within a week. Drink lots of water.

yes, it was scary how much I swelled, I couldnt even walk . But everyone said it would go away and it did...One day I woke up and it was gone ( and I was about 15 lbs lighter too!)
