Cuomo just announced it ...he will follow the CDC guidelines for masks
Surprise surprise as of Wednesday we don’t have to wear a mask if we are vaccinated.
I am shocked but the question remains how will one know if I’m vaccinated or not

I am shocked but the question remains have one now if I’m vaccinated or not
I guess we have to figure out what businesses will allow it and if they can and will ask for proof.

Most large stores will still require them just like in Texas and Florida.
You still can't walk into a Trader Joes, Starbucks or Target without one

Most large stores will still require them just like in Texas and Florida.
You still can't walk into a Trader Joes, Starbucks or Target without one
But they are slowly stopping. Walmart has officially said they will not require it anymore.
Disney just announced you can walk around now with out it. Though you still have to wear it in the inside portions of lines and any indoor areas but it’s getting there!

Pretty much. They can't stop everyone entering a store to ask for proof. And even if they did, you can take your mask off once inside and out of sight. It's impossible to police in a busy retail box store or supermarket.

honestly if it's an honor system then at this point it's pretty much over for masks at all . I doubt people are going to be truthful if not asked to show proof.

Trader Joe’s said they can not ask for proof and Target did not come out and say they will ask.
I guess it will go from business to business.
I have a bunch of places I am going this weekend so I guess we will see who is enforcing it and who is not.

My guess it’s because it was individual governors making the calls and this coming from the CDC so it’s more a reliable source people will trust rather than some random Governor that people may think have their own agenda.
Disclaimer: I’m not saying the CDC is reliable or not reliable or governors have an agenda Or don’t have an agenda. I’m just giving an opinion why lol

I agree it’s going to be over. I know someone who will not be getting a vaccine (they are against all vaccines) and they already started to try not to wear masks in stores because they’re over it And don’t think at this point they are necessary. Now I am sure they never will wear a mask again in the store if they are not ask to put one on.

Does it even bother your DC though? My DC literally puts it on BEFORE we get in the car to go to the store even though I tell him to wait until we get there. He is totally unphased by it.

I just plan on wearing mine to set a good example for him as he should be wearing it - especially since he wants to see his grandma and grandpa regularly. And yes they are vaccinated, but he's not so it's best to keep his risk of contracting it low since he is all over them when we go to visit with them. My DC is not really good with understanding personal space - LOL

Or maybe because they were the first states lifting mask mandates so businesses (the ones still requiring their customers to wear a mask) didn’t feel comfortable doing it since no other states were doing it?

Yep, we know how well the honor system will work. Knowing how many of you lovely ladies on here will lie , I will not feel comfortable forgoing my mask just yet. It's a shame you can't rely on people being honest during a worldwide health pandemic, but that's Americans for you I guess.
