Curious about changing of due date.

If your baby measured big, at what point did they change your due date (if they did)?

Re: Curious about changing of due date.

Jack measured two weeks ahead the entire time. They never changed my due date and I was induced 12 days late

Re: Curious about changing of due date.

At my last sono, I was 10w6d but measuring at 11w3d. My doctor didn't change my due date at all.

I'm curious to see how it's measuring when I go this Wednesday for the NT thing. (I will be 13 weeks on Wednesday)

Re: Curious about changing of due date.

My doctor said she doesn't change the due date because the first sonogram is usually the most accurate in determining the due date.

Re: Curious about changing of due date.

At my first appointment my obgyn said he could not get the best picture so he is waiting for the 12 week u/s where they use more sensitive equipment (done elsewhere) and will base my due date off of both. I think I am earlier than he measured based upon my LMP and cycle length.

Re: Curious about changing of due date.

Well, we're in the middle of what's the real due date right now only cuz my OB is just concerned about getting the week right since I'll be having a scheduled c/s. So at my appointment, he gave me 2 Chat Icon

Thats why I have to go back at 10 weeks to get measured again.

my doctor said the same, unless the first sono is off by more than a week, they do not change the due date Chat Icon

I've measured 2 weeks ahead since the first ultrasound but they don't change the due date. They said we will just see "as we get further along..." Chat Icon

Re: Curious about changing of due date.

Since we went through IVF, my RE gave me a due date of 8/29. When I had my first appt with my OB at 9 weeks, the baby was measuring ahead, so they changed my Due Date to 8/26. I guess my OB changed it to reflect what they were seeing rather then what my RE had told us.

There is NEVER an exact.... That's why it's called EDD - Estimated Due Date!

Re: Curious about changing of due date.

My doc changed my due date after my Ultrascreen. He said that all babies grow at the same rate during the first tri, so if I was measuring ahead at 11 wks, then my date should be changed.
