curly haired girls
I don't know if this has ever been posted but I came across this website, naturallycurly.com and it is really cool. I am forever on the hunt for good curly hair products, I am a product junkie and they seem to have alot of good info! Hope you find it helpful!

Re: curly haired girls
honestly, I constantly switch. I have a basket of things I buy and try! Lately I've been using the Frizz Ease Dream Curls and Secret Weapon. I also like products by Curlfiend but they can get expensive, I hate spending alot of $ on products, but I will if it works really well. I always feel like something will work great for a while and then after some time not so much, as if my hair just gets used to it.

Re: curly haired girls
I definitely tend to switch around a lot too...
Gel I always stick with Nexxus Liquid Gel. I find it's the only gel that gives me the hold, but doesn't weight them down.
Deep Conditioners I switch between Quidad's and Curlogic
Shampoo I only use twice a week, so I use whatever is in the shower...either Dove or Pantene curl/moisture.
Daily Conditioner I'm currently using Nexxus Humectress.
I also love Quidad's Curl Quencher, but that can get expensive using the entire line all the time.
Oh..Hair dryer...totally recommend Hot Tools Tourmaline one...I got in on sale at Ulta last week and what a difference it makes...drying time is cut in half and my hair is much much healthier too.
ETA: Quidad's Pomade - takes the "crunch" out of the hair after blow drying, makes it soft, gives more hold and shine. Dove hair spray

Re: curly haired girls
Wow, thanks girls for all the info.
I hate when my hair gets frizzy. Do you girls usually blow dry your hair or let it air dry?

Re: curly haired girls
almost always blow dry for me too. I usually tend to shower, put in product, air dry a little while, then blowdry (upside down for more volume) with a diffuser and then add a little more product. Jeez, funny how I have to have a routine! Sometimes I wish i could just wash and go, but my hair is not having that!

Re: curly haired girls
I have been airdrying my hair since 7th grade! Yes even in the snow!
I was using Herbal Essences mousse until they changed their look and formula. I have been using Fructis mousse for a few days since I like their hairspray but it doesnt hold that well and I need to find something else. I am way too cheap to use anything over $4 since I go through it so quickly.

Re: curly haired girls
Summer-air dry Winter-dry with diffuser for curls or blow out
I have been doing something new. Curly haired people are weird, I'll tell ya! What we do to avoid looking like a lion! I wash, condition rinse, yadayadayada...then I comb/brush. Then I add just a TAD of serum, repeat, a TAD, then I have been adding mousse. I PUSH, rather than scrunch (thank you Ouidad) and then I lightly tie on a kerchief, bandana, whatever to keep the top from pouffing. I take it off after an hour or two (run errands, clean, etc). When I take off the cloth, my curls are well formed but not pouffy or frizzy.

You are the only other person I know that uses this too! They don't even make it the regular way anymore, now you have to buy the one in the green bottle for thinning hair LOL - and trust me, I have alot of curly hair so I get some weird looks sometimes!
I also leave in Nexis Humectress conditioner and use frizease mousse. When I shampoo I use Pantene shampoo & conditioner for curly hair. I also get my hair relaxed every few months (not completely straightened but I get the chemicals put on to decrease the frizz and tightness of the curls).

I love curlfriend products.
I tried these last time you posted...loved them....but was way too expensive for me to keep up because the bottles are too small and I have a lot of hair
I now use Pantene...shampoo/conditioner for curly hair. Towel dry...comb out, put in curl creme and anti-frizz spray. Air dry for about 30 minutes (while I get dressed, put on make-up, etc.), then I blow dry my bangs with a bruch and run the hair dryer over the rest of my curls...no brush, no pick, no diffuser, just to get the rest of the dampness out, and top it off with the curl-lock hairspray.

LOVE that stuff! I used to buy it at Ulta and then they stopped carrying it, but believe it or not I ended up getting a better deal through a website...AND I get free FAST shipping! FM me if you want the info...I'll look it up for you.

Re: curly haired girls
I have very curley hair and I don't really have an elaborate routine -- but I have used Loreal products since High School and have tried tons of other stuff and didn't like it at all.
I use Loreal Springing Curls Moouse. Loreal Mega Gel
Shampoo usually herbal essences, pantene, right now this bright pink Loreal bottle -- whatever looks good! I also only wash my hair about 2-3 times a week so I don't stress over the shampoo too much.
Conditioner I use the Biolage that is in a tub --- I get it from Ulta or SuperCuts -- both sell it, they also sell it at BJs.
I airdry -- in the summer and winter.

I have been using Aveda -Be Curly and Aveda Gel. I love it. Works great with my curls and of course can't go without the Anti-Frizz.
