Curtain Question

Should they always go to the floor? That's what DH said but I bought 63" long ones for the bedroom which has regular windows. Anyone have pics? I don't want them to look stupid. I am not good with decorating as you can probably tell from all my questions.

They don't have to hit the floor. My mother has ones that hit the floor and my MIL has ones that go just below the window sill.

DH wants to get ones that go just below the window sill. He doesn't want our dog to think they're okay to chew, so he doesn't want floor length.

i hate curtains. they confuse me.

I have both - for the sliding doors I like to have floor ones. for the windows in our bedroom I have 63" for 42" long windows.

They don't have to hit the floor, I just prefer it when they do. Actually I like when they puddle a little. I think it looks more elegant and makes the window look longer. It's mostly personal preference, so do what you like the most!

it really depends on the look that you are going for. I agre with Tine73 though, it gives it a nice dramatic effect if they puddle a little.

You can also consider something like a roman, london or balloon shade....

i prefer the illusion of floor length (half an inch or so above floor).

I dont like them along the floor but thats just my preference

I think I am going to hang them closer to the ceiling when we move to give the illusion of a larger room in the bedrooms
