Really dumb curtain question
what do you call the curtains that are "pinched" in the middle? I'm thinking of putting those kind of curtains in these panel windows:

honestly...you have clean lines in the room and those types of drapes always look old and grandmaish to me. So while, I don't think that they would look terrible, I don't think that would look great either....
I am trying to think of something else that can go there.
ETA - are you putting them in the cut outs between the room or in the front window?

Those are actually our back windows, but I would be putting them in the windows. I was thinking of Roman Shades, but I want something a little less bland...

how about roman shades in a jute fabric. it gives it a little bit of texture and color, but lets the light in as well. JC Penny has some that open from the top and the bottom as well.
