Cute cat story.. just had to share...(LONG)

So I have three cats. An older cat – 10 year old Buddy (diabetic)
and two younger cats – 1 and half year old Bonnie & Clyde (brother sister)

Clyde sleeps with my husband every morning (actually digs at hubby’s shoulder to be allowed under the covers to curl up) but the other two are pretty much average cats (all about me types).

Buddy will sleep in our bed if one of us is sick. He will curl up at our feet and stay ALL night and not move an inch. Its really cute and a great warning that we’re not dealing with ‘just allergies’. But he doesn’t sleep ‘with’ us – like up by our torsos.

Lately Buddy’s diabetes have been finally regulated so he’s back to his old tricks like sleeping at the foot of our bed on the little bench we have there (this is his place when we’re NOT sick).

So last night I go to bed before my hubby, I hear Buddy nose the door open so he can come in. I feel/hear him hop up on the bed (which is how he usually gets to his favorite spot on the bench). But then I hear him purring like an engine and it’s getting louder.

I look over and he’s walking up the side of the bed straight toward my face. So cute so I say hi and pet him. He doesn’t like a whole lot of petting so when you can, its nice to pet him. Then he comes all the way up to my pillow and keeps looking around for something. Finally he comes up to the blanket and puts his nose just under it so I lift up the covers and he CRAWLS UNDER!!! (very un-Buddy-like)

My shirt was lifted a bit and my baby belly was sorta ‘out there’. He walks straight to it and puts his wet nose on me. He stops purring for a second and then starts purring again.

TOTALLY freaked me out! I was so touched!

A couple a seconds later I feel the baby kick.

A little longer and I guess Buddy figured everything was ok, and heads to his usual spot. I finally call my hubby in the room and tell him what happened and he’s all “GOOD BOY!” and goes to pet him and Buddy’s still purring.

So I just had to share .. I thought it was so awesome.

I wonder if Buddy knows?????????

So cute!! And SO jealous you can feel the baby kick!!!!..........I can't wait!!!! Any day now would be great!!!!

They always know. I'm a huge fan of cats because they are just so smart.

I SWEAR that our cats knows I'm pregnant. I'm only 6 weeks, but he's been putting his nose on my tummy a lot. I really think they have that sixth sense!

So cute!!! Adorable story and i'm sure he knows!!! My cats on the other hand have no idea what's going on!!!

I love that! I really think one of my cats knows too. He will climb carefully around my belly, then settle down on top of it and purr, almost like he's incubating an egg! It's so cute!

I bet they def know. My kitty always puts her two paws on my belly and lays down on my chest. She loves to see mommy have a big ol tummy now.
